COURT ALLOWS LAWYERS TO APPEAL OVER RM100-MLN CIVIL SUIT
PUTRAJAYA, Oct 12 (Bernama) — Lawyers M. Manoharan and P. Uthayakumar weregiven the nod by the Federal Court today to appeal against a High Courtdismissal of their RM100-million civil suit against Prime Minister Datuk SeriNajib Tun Razak and five others over wrongful detention. Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Tan Sri Richard Malanjum, chairing athree-man panel, granted the duo”s application for leave to appeal against theMarch 24, 2011, decision of the Kuala Lumpur High Court which threw out theirsuit after allowing the respondents” application to strike it out without goingfor full trial. …
