BBC HD to close in favour of high definition version of BBC2
Metro
The BBC HD channel is to close as part of £670million cuts by the public service broadcaster. The four-year-old channel will be replaced with a high definition simulcast of BBC2, which will be broadcast alongside the existing BBC One HD channel.
