Whitbread adds 8% with sales boosted by Costa, as FTSE attempts to recover

latest gloomy British Retail Consortium survey. Marks & Spencer is down 1.7p at 300.7p, while Halfords has fallen 6.6p to 285.5p and Carpetright is 7p lower at 525p.
